District Court

     Charles James Ellison, Monticello, was found in contempt of court. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined court costs.

     Chenoa Lynn Denolf, Onslow, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. Sentence and fine are pending.

     Jeffrey Allen Collins, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to 1st degree harassment. A jury trial is set for Dec. 7. Collins also pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault-injury/mental illness 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Sept. 21.

     Joshua David Klaren, Marion, was cited for driving while barred. A court date is set for Sept. 8.

     Dechone Lee Jackson, Monticello, was cited for driving while barred. A court date is set for Sept. 15.

     Ryan Richard Studee, Fond du Lac, Wis., was charged with eluding. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 3.

     Zachary Michael Everts, Cedar Rapids, was found in contempt of court. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and fined court costs. The sentence is to run concurrently with four cases in Linn County.

     John Dale Spores, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of possession of methamphetamine 2nd offense. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $625 plus court costs. The sentence and fine were suspended, and Spores was placed on self-supervised probation for two years.

     Martin Joseph Payton, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to sex offender-providing false information 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Dec. 7.

     Jamiee Marie Lasack, Oxford Junction, pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree fraudulent practice and tampering with records. No court date was set.

     Michaela L. Devaney, Monticello, was charged with 1st degree theft. No court date was set.

     Lonnie Ray Eilers, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to 4th degree theft. A jury trial is set for Dec. 7.

     Nicklaus Ryan Clark, Hopkinton, was cited for possession of marijuana 1st offense. A court date is set for Sept. 8.

     Andrew David Jamison, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.

     Benjamin Jordan Carstensen, Wyoming, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
