District Court

     Alexander John Monk, Monticello, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of 3rd degree criminal mischief. Judgment was deferred, and Monk was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. He was also assessed a civil penalty of $625 plus court costs, and ordered to pay victim restitution in the amount of $505.

     Gauge Leon Linne, Oxford Junction, pleaded guilty to sex offender registry violation. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, to run concurrently with two other sentences, and fined $625 plus court costs.

     Kobe Kayshawn Brown, Hiawatha, pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $625 plus court costs. His sentence was suspended, and Brown was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Mason Kendall Simons, Fairfield, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. He was sentenced to two days in jail, to run concurrently with another sentence, and fined $625 plus court costs.

     Paula P. Rigopoulos, Galena, Ill., pleaded guilty to child endangerment. Her sentence is pending.

     David Michael Waite, Spragueville, pleaded guilty to public intoxication 3rd offense. He was sentenced to two years in prison, to run concurrently with another sentence, and fined $625 plus court costs. His sentence was suspended, and Waite was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Madison Rose Hankemeier, Cedar Rapids, was charged with 3rd degree theft. An arraignment is set for Oct. 30.

     Jeremy James Kray, Anamosa, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. An arraignment is set for Nov. 6.

     Jeffrey Thomas Annen, Le Claire, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Chenoa Lynn Denolf, Onslow, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while license barred. An arraignment is set for Nov. 13.

     Darren Anthony Daugherty, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Jared Thomas Hajek, Tipton, was charged with carrying weapons. An arraignment is set for Nov. 13.

     Trevor Alan Siebels, Monticello, had a charge of domestic assault 2nd offense, dismissed.

     David Bauer Sterling, Jr., Monticello, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 1.

     David Allen Miller, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to 2nd degree theft. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and fined $750 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Miller was placed on probation for three years.

     Bradley Allen Bramer, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to forgery, identity theft, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, and eluding. He was fined a total of $2,750 plus court costs, and sentenced to five years in prison, to run concurrently with other sentences. Bramer’s fines were suspended.

     Bruce Glenn Freeman III, Manchester, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of contraband in correctional institution. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Debra Jo Moser, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) 3rd offense. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Brandon Jo Fort, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree theft. A jury trial is set for Feb. 13, 2018.

     Dustin Travis Smolek, Olin, was charged with 3rd degree burglary. An arraignment is set for Nov. 13.

     Jamie Alen Boge, Anamosa, was charged with conspiring to manufacture, deliver and/or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. An arraignment is set for Nov. 6.

     Andrew Alan Witham, Muscatine, was charged with assault on persons engaged in certain occupations, 2nd degree theft, eluding, and OWI 2nd offense. An arraignment is set for Nov. 6.

     Matthew Neil VonBehren, Wyoming, was charged with five counts of lascivious acts with a child and two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse. An arraignment is set for Nov. 6.

     Brandi Jo Dean, Maquoketa, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days suspended, and fined $315 plus court costs. Dean was also placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Drew Nickolas Martin, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and Martin was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. He was also assessed a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs.

     John Joseph Cupples, Onslow, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was fined $1,000 plus court costs.

     Kenneth Kentrell Grimes, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was fined $1,000 plus court costs.

     Charles James Ellison, Monticello, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was fined $1,000 plus court costs.

     Benjamin Michael Wardlow, Martelle, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. He was assessed a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs.

     Melissa Lee Duggan, Hopkinton, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 6, 2018.

     Dylan James Steines, Maquoketa, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 6, 2018.

     Adam James Christenson, Lisbon, pleaded not guilty to unlawful possession of prescription drug. A jury trial is set for Feb. 6, 2018.

     Jordan Patrick Edwards, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to driving while license denied/revoked. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Cynthia Susan Wheeler, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Timothy Terrance Kelly, Spragueville, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and Kelly was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. He was also assessed a civil penalty of $1,250 plus court costs.

     Breanna Renee Bristol, Morley, pleaded guilty to OWI 2nd offense. She was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined $1,875 plus court costs.

     Rodney Dean Etten, Onslow, pleaded guilty to OWI 3rd offense. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended, and fined $1,250 plus court costs. Etten was also placed on self-supervised probation for six months.

     Scott Oliver Northrup, Ely, pleaded guilty to OWI 2nd offense. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined $1,875 plus court costs. Northrup also had a charge of possession of marijuana 1st offense, dismissed.

     Michael James Riley, Dubuque, pleaded guilty to OWI 2nd offense. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined $1,875 plus court costs.

     Nicole Jean Hicks, Guttenberg, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 14.

     James Daniel Terry, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Jan. 23, 2018.

     Lonnie Ray Eilers, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Jan. 30, 2018.

     Theodore Joseph Weber, Anamosa, was charged with OWI 1st offense and interference with official acts causing bodily injury. An arraignment is set for Nov. 6.

     Zachary Chans Monk, Monticello, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 1.

     David William Otten, Marion, was arrested for OWI 1st offense. No court date was set.

     Scott Edward Butler, Muscatine, was charged with OWI 1st offense and possession of methamphetamine 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 8.
