District Court

     Gerald Wayne Hunson, Wyoming, pleaded guilty to stalking and the lesser offense of 3rd degree criminal mischief. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on probation for two years. He was ordered to pay civil penalties totaling $1,250 plus court costs, and restitution in the amount of $500.

     James Alan Loehr, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to three counts of driving while barred. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail, and fined $1,875 plus court costs. The fines were suspended. Loehr also pleaded guilty to assault and criminal trespassing. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

     John Thomas Spalding, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sex offender-registration violation. A jury trial is set for April 17.

     Michael Andrew Woodward, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to the lesser offense of assault/domestic abuse with intent to inflict serious injury. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and fined $625 plus court costs. The fine was suspended.

     Jasmine Dawn Bennett, Anamosa, was arrested for 2nd degree theft. An arraignment is set for Feb. 5.

     Luther Joe Gilbert, Anamosa, was charged with 3rd degree burglary, 3rd degree theft, obstructing prosecution/defense, and 3rd degree criminal mischief. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 29. He was also charged with 2nd degree criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools, 3rd degree theft, and two counts of 3rd degree burglary. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 31. In addition, Gilbert was charged with 3rd degree burglary, 3rd degree criminal mischief, and 3rd degree theft. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 31. In a separate incident, Gilbert was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 29.

     Matthew Ian Hutchins, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. He was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs.

     Charity Sue McCormick, Olin, had a charge of domestic abuse assault, dismissed. She also pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of disorderly conduct. She was fined $65 plus court costs.

     Tracy Ann Neunaber, Central City, was charged with voluntary absence from custody. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 7.

     Jordan Patrick Edwards, Monticello, pleaded guilty to driving while license denied/revoked. He was fined $1,000 plus court costs.

     Kristopher D. Gilson, Oxford Junction, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. Judgment was deferred. He had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed.

     Alexandro Ramon Vasquez, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for April 17.

     Ray Dean Bennett, Monticello, was charged with domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 14.

     Braxton Phillip Matthiesen, Monticello, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Andrew William Walton, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense and possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for April 17.

     Tanner Clayton Hayzlett, was charged with OWI 1st offense. An arraignment is set for Jan. 29.

     Derek William Duecker, Mechanicsville, was charged with OWI 1st offense. An arraignment is set for Jan. 29.

     Trent David Aitchison, Monticello, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 7.
