District Court

     Trampus Alan Bell, Olin, previously pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on supervised probation for one year. He was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs.

     Conner Patrick Keleher, Monticello, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 3rd offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Keleher was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $625 plus court costs.

     Charles James Ellison, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for June 26. Ellison also pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree harassment and driving while license denied/revoked. A jury trial is set for July 17.

     Frank Thomas Young, Anamosa, was charged with 3rd degree attempted burglary. An arraignment is set for April 2.

     Maggie Mae Carlson, Morley, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while license barred. An arraignment is set for April 9.

     Jerry Allen Maylone, Anamosa, was charged with child endangerment, unlawful possession of prescription drug, and OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for April 6.

     Marvin Lewis Hunter, Martelle, had a charge of going armed with intent, dismissed.

     Skylar John Smith, Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty to possession of heroine 3rd offense and possession of fentanyl 3rd offense. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and fined a total of $1,500 plus court costs. His sentence and fine were suspended, and Smith was placed on supervised probation for three years. He had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed.

     Caleb Daniel Dowell, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to 3rd degree burglary and 3rd degree criminal mischief. A jury trial is set for May 15.

     Dustin Michael Gudenkauf, Center Junction, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault 3rd offense. A jury trial is set for May 15.

     John Richard Schily, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to possessing contraband in correctional institution, driving while barred, and possession of marijuana 1st offense. No court date was set.

     Anthony Michael Padilla, Anamosa, was charged with possession of contraband in correctional institution, controlled substance violation, possession of certain property-penalty enhanced, and two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drug. A preliminary hearing is set for April 11.

     Zedakiah Lee Fisher, Anamosa, was charged with domestic abuse assault 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for April 4.

     Larry James Scofield, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 3rd offense. No court date was set.

     Todd Michael Appel, Glenwood, Minn., was arrested for OWI 1st offense. No court date was set.
