District Court

     Gerald Wayne Munson, Wyoming, pleaded guilty to 5^th degree theft. He was fined $100 plus court costs and victim restitution.

     Andrew Lee Holland, Viola, pleaded not guilty to driving while barred. A jury trial is set for Aug. 21.

     Joshua David Klaren, Monticello, was charged with driving while barred. A preliminary hearing is set for June 13.

     Jaxon Patten Winchell, Council Bluffs, was cited for driving while barred. A court date is set for June 20.

     Mark Dewalt Owens, Monticello, pleaded guilty to 2^nd degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and fined $750 plus court costs. The sentence and fine were suspended, and Owens was placed on probation for three years. He was ordered to pay victim restitution. Owens also pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $625 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Owens was placed on supervised probation for two years. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Matthew John Peterson, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, and fined $315 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Peterson was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Brooke Marie Majerus, Monticello, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury, child endangerment, OWI and the lesser offense of possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined a total of $2,815 plus court costs.

     Marcus Terrell Allen, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sex offender-registration violation. A jury trial is set for Aug. 21.

     Blake Erick Taylor, Jr., was charged with willful injury-causing serious injury. A preliminary hearing is set for May 29.

     Bryson John Mundorf, Martelle, was charged with domestic abuse assault 3^rd offense. A preliminary hearing is set for June 20.

     Christopher Warren Riches, Anamosa, was found in contempt of court. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail.

     Kayla Marie Hurt, Strawberry Point, pleaded guilty to 5^th degree theft. She was fined $100 plus court costs, and ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Erica Abigail Sams, Olin, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1^st offense. A jury trial is set for Aug. 21.

     Philip Dean Smith, Anamosa, was charged with possession of marijuana 1^st offense. An arraignment is set for June 4.

     Courtney Michelle Laton, Cedar Rapids, was arrested for possession of marijuana 1^st offense, possession of methamphetamine 1^st offense and possession of a controlled substance. No court date was set.

     Dale James Entsminger, Dubuque, was charged with OWI 1^st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for June 13.

     Byron James Middlekauff, Anamosa, was charged with OWI 1^st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for June 13.

     Allen William Stecher, Central City, was charged with OWI 1^st offense and speeding. A preliminary hearing is set for June 6.
