District Court

     Caitlyn Marie Groth, Olin, pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card and 4th degree theft. Judgment was deferred, and she was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Groth was ordered to pay civil penalties totaling $940 plus court costs. The civil penalties were suspended, and she was ordered to make victim restitution.

     Levi Darrell Reynolds, Maquoketa, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. Sentence is pending.

     Kyle Brandon Orcutt, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of burglar’s tools, unlawful possession of prescription drug, and 3rd degree burglary. A jury trial is set for Oct. 23.

     Taylor June Britton, Newton, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of failing to report the introduction of contraband on/in grounds of a correctional facility and possession of prescription/device without prescription. She was sentenced to one year in jail, and fined $940 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Britton was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     William Joseph Tamayo, Cedar Rapids, was charged with failure to affix drug stamp and two counts of possession of marijuana. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 27.

     Christopher O. Brissett, Maquoketa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 27.

     Nicholas L. Sutton, Oshkosh, Wis., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined court costs. Fifty-eight days were suspended, and Sutton was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Lucas Taylor Tamayo, Cedar Rapids, was charged with possession of marijuana 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 27.

     Bryon James Middlekauff, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Middlekauff was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,250 plus court costs.

     Mackenna Kristine Scofield, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and she was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Scofield was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,250 plus court costs.

     Austin Ryan Yeisley, Anamosa, was charged with OWI 1st offense. An arraignment is set for Sept. 10.

     Angela Lee Pearson, Monticello, was charged with OWI 1st offense and possession of a controlled substance 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 12.
