District Court

     Austin Reid Sparks, Monticello, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. He was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs, and victim restitution in the amount of $1,774.

     Jason Alan Parker, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of 3rd degree theft. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $625 plus court costs. The Sentence was suspended, and Parker was placed on self-supervised probation for two years. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Zachary Michael Everts, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree theft. A jury trial is set for Dec. 18.

     Dale James Entsminger, Dubuque, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Timothy Scott Kruger, Jr., Anamosa, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Andrew Eugene Simon, Dubuque, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Christopher O. Brissett, Maquoketa, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Robert William Michaelis, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. He was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,250 plus court costs.

     Juan Genaro Capetillo, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 5.

     James Christopher Jackson, Bellevue, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Jan. 29.
