District Court

     Nash Randall Brown, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined $625 plus court costs. Five days were suspended, and Brown was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.

     Joshua David Klaren, Marion, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. He was fined $625 plus court costs.

     Joshua Paul Yiesley, Springville, pleaded not guilty to possession of controlled substance (hydrocodone) 2nd offense and possession of marijuana 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     Ronny Lee Olivarez, Jr., Monticello, pleaded not guilty to assault causing bodily injury/mental illness and public intoxication. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     John William James Melville, Jr., Anamosa, was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 28.

     Kolin Chandler Geiger, Olin, was charged with possession of marijuana 3rd offense and gathering where controlled substances are used. An arraignment is set for Dec. 3.

     Derrick Scott Maschmann, Clarence, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while license barred. An arraignment is set for Dec. 17.

     Michael Anthony Cudahy, Monticello, pleaded guilty to domestic abuse assault (strangulation). He was sentenced to five years in prison, and fined $750 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Cudahy was placed on supervised probation for three years. He was ordered to pay victim restitution in the amount of $3,778.31.

     Joshua Lee Finneman, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possessing contraband on/in grounds of correctional facility. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on supervised probation for two years. Finneman was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $750 plus court costs.

     Angela Lee Pearson, Olin, pleaded not guilty to 4th degree theft and two counts of forgery. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     Dustin Thomas Claussen, Monticello, pleaded guilty to driving while barred and two counts of forgery. He was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison, and fined a total of $2,125 plus court costs. The sentences and fines were suspended, and Claussen was placed on supervised probation for three years. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution totaling $1,016.62.

     Shonneil Marie Phillips, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense, possession of methamphetamine 2nd offense, and possession of marijuana 3rd offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     Carol Jean Mettler, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     Cory John Onken, Anamosa, was charged with driving while license denied/revoked and two counts of possession of marijuana. An arraignment is set for Dec. 17.

     John Richard Schilt, Monticello, was charged with possession of marijuana 2nd offense and possession of methamphetamine 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 5.

     Mark David Exe, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 12.

     Shirley Ann McNamara, Monticello, was charged with OWI 2nd offense and driving under suspension. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 27.
