Donna Maxine Williams Sept. 28, 1934-July 3, 2017

     Donna Maxine Williams, 82, of Monticello, Iowa, passed away Saturday July 3, 2017, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.

     Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello with graveside services at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Rev. Colleen Petaros.

     Donna Maxine Lukenbill was born Sept. 28, 1934 in Harwood, Mo. to William Lukenbill and Violet Evelyn Murphy Lukenbill Henslee. Her parents later divorced and her mother moved to Los Angeles, Calif. where Donna met the love of her life, Russell Williams, at a dance. They were married two days before her 18^th birthday, Sept. 26, 1952.

     Donna was known for her compassionate, loving and independent spirit. She loved word puzzles and rescuing cats from the dead of winter. Donna worked in human resources at the Anamosa State Penitentiary for 23 years. Donna adored her children and grandchildren with every ounce of her being.

     Survivors include her half-brother Ralph Henslee of Portland, Ore.; children Robert (Linda) Williams of Helotes, Texas, Mary Linda Williams of Anamosa, Iowa, and John (Laura) Williams of Wheatland, Iowa; grandchildren Rachel, Rory, Ryan, Renee, Ben (Abbey), Shannon, Noah and Olivia and multiple nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell, her parents, and her sister Dorothea (John) Scherick, her brother William Lukenbill Jr. and her brothers and sisters in laws on the Williams side.
