Eagles fall to Marquette

GIRLS BASKETBALL

     Bellevue Marquette outscored Midland 43-14 over the final three quarters to hand the Eagles a season-opening 47-25 girls basketball loss Nov. 21 in Wyoming.

     Midland (0-1) got off to a strong start, leading 11-6 after one quarter, but the Mohawks took over after that.

     Drew Jensen scored 15 points to lead the Eagles in scoring. Emma Paulsen added six points. Several Eagles contributed to the team’s 30 rebounds, led by Delanie Uppena and Paulsen with five apiece, Morgan Soper and Jensen with four each. Uppena also had five steals. Arianna Hacke blocked two shots.
