Easton Valley eliminates Eagles

     Midland’s comeback effort fell short during the Class 1A district boys basketball quarterfinals, as the Eagles lost at Easton Valley 50-43 Feb. 16, to see their season come to an end.

     Easton Valley opened a 25-11 lead by halftime, but Midland rallied, outscoring the River Hawks 32-25 in the second half.

     Alex Martens scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and made three blocks for the Eagles. Connor Harms had 12 points. Trace Jensen and Fisher Bisinger had four rebounds apiece.

     Midland finished with a 5-17 record, including a 4-6 mark in the Tri-Rivers Conference East Division.
