The Monticello Express and Shoppers’ Guide welcomed a new employee this week.

Rae Ann Manternach of Monticello is part of the advertising/sales team, replacing Mary Yanda after 20-plus years. Manternach started her new job on Feb. 4.

Manternach has 20-plus years of sales experience herself in advertising, recruiting, and B2B (business-to-business).

“I have worked in Cedar Rapids most of my professional career,” shared Manternach. “I’ve always wanted an opportunity to work in my home town.”

Manternach attended Loras College in Dubuque, where she earned a BA in speech communications.

She brings her customer service and advertising sales experience to the job at the Express.

“I enjoy meeting people, and building relationships with customers,” she said.

Manternach looks forward to getting to know the local business owners better as she gets acclimated with the job.

Manternach and her husband Scott have two sons: Kyle, 20; and Jackson, 15, a sophomore at Monticello High School.

In her free time, she enjoys staying active running, performing karaoke, and spending time with family and friends.

You can reach Manternach at the Express at ramanternach@monticelloexpress.com or 319-465-3555.
