Family Council offers holiday clothing, toy drive

     The Jones County Family Council is holding their annual kids’ clothes and toy community sale.

     The event will take place on Friday, Dec. 7 from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8 to 11 a.m. The sale will be held at 301 Old Dubuque Rd. in Anamosa.

     They are now accepting donations of gently used clothes, toys, and books for the sale. Donations can be dropped off at 301 Old Dubuque Rd. on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 8 to 10 a.m., or Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m.

     The clothes and toy drive allows Jones County families to shop for their little ones for the holidays.

     All proceeds go to the Family Council for child abuse prevention and family strengthening efforts.

     During the sale event, Jones County Extension and Outreach will be providing fun family activities from 4 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 7, and from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.
