FFA Week: Seniors share FFA experiences, memories

This year’s Monticello FFA Chapter features seven senior members, each of them involved in many FFA and school activities, multiple supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs) and also planning for their future.

Here’s a look at each Panther FFA senior.

Aiden Michael Bieber

Parents/Guardians: Amanda Bieber, Michael Bieber

FFA Activities Participated In: Dairy judging, ag mechanics and city flowerpots

SAE Project(s): Bieber Hay, sweet corn, Theisens and Kluesner Dairy

Most Memorable FFA Activity/Accomplishment: Ag mechanics

Future Plans: Work at Linn County

Halle Recker

Parents/Guardians: Cory and Emily Recker

Office(s) Held, Committee/Project Assisted: Vice President, Reporter, Middle School Coordinator

FFA Activities Participated In: Showing at the county and state fair, Feed the Farmers, haunted trailer, fruit sales, Fall fest

SAE Project(s): Beef cattle, Entrepreneurship beef cattle, horse, ducks, rabbits

Most Memorable FFA Activity/Accomplishment: Winning reserve supreme cow calf pair at the state fair

Future Plans: Go to vet school at Iowa State or Oklahoma State

Dylan Ricklefs

Kyle Arduser

Most Memorable FFA Activity/Accomplishment: Going to the state fair every year and getting to exhibit my animals, spend time with family and experience all the fair has to offer.

SAE Project(s): Family farm – cattle, family farm – sheep, home yard/farm work

Future Plans: Attend Clarke University in Dubuque and major in Psychology

Lilly Stoll
