Friends of Jones County Conservation accepting scholarship applications

   Friends of Jones County Conservation and Nature Center 501(3)C is pleased to announce the Keith Dirks Memorial Scholarship award for 2025.

   Keith Dirks graduated from Anamosa High School in 1974, he attended college at Cornell and Kirkwood, and served as a county Supervisor for Jones County for 19 years until his death. Keith was very active on the Jones County Conservation Board, working to get the Nature Center built at Central Park as well as other improvements to park.

   The scholarship is open to any Jones County student seeking secondary education in STEM fields. The "T" also stands for Trades. The application may be found at: https//hartvogt.wixsite.com/fojccnc.
