The Great Jones County Fair announced the opening entertainment acts for the Thursday and Friday night concerts of the 2018 GJCF.

Opening for Jason Aldean on Thursday, July 19 will be dynamic country artist Luke Combs. He put out his first album in June 2017, “This One’s for You,” with three singles from that album to number on the music charts. Combs’ album remains one of the largest selling debut country albums to be released in 2017. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and remained inside the Top 10 on the same chart since its release.

In 2017, Combs was nominated for a CMT Music Award and Country Music Association Award, both as a new artist.

Opening for Luke Bryan on Friday, July 20 will be unique songwriter Morgan Wallen. After moving to Nashville in 2015, it took less than a year for Wallen to get signed by a record label.

While Wallen enjoys many genres of music (rock, hip-hop, and country), his tunes are invariably country.

In 2014, Wallen auditioned for the NBC singing competition “The Voice.” He became a member of Usher’s team. He later became a member of Adam Levine’s team and was eliminated in the play-offs.

Wallen has released two singles in 2016 and 2017: “The Way I Talk” and “Up Down.”

Tickets for both concerts are still available. Visit www.greatjonescountyfair.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
