A good friend
To the Editor,
Dwain Kuper was my friend. We spent a lot of time together.
A lot of people called him “Teddy Bear.” I called him “Doctor Kuper.” He had a gift to be able to repair anything. He kept my 8N Ford tractor and silage wagon going for many years.
To me, he always had a special look, charisma or character that set him apart from other people.
He loved driving school bus and taking kids to games. He enjoyed art-making jewelry, painting, and collecting old guns. He enjoyed a good cigar. When working close, most people put their glasses on. Dwain would take his off.
He was a big man in many ways and will always be special to me. If you never met Dwain, you missed knowing a wonderful person.
If there is a heaven, he will make it a better place.
Sincerely,
Bill Hasek
