Governor loosens public health measures

     Gov. Kim Reynolds updated and extended her current public health proclamation. The new measures took effect Dec. 17 and run through midnight on Jan. 8.

     The following is a summary…

Mask Use

     Required in all indoor spaces open to the public and state executive branch buildings (no change from her previous proclamation)

Gathering Restrictions (social, community, business, and leisure)

     Ensure 6 feet of social distancing between groups and individuals attending

Sporting and Recreational Events

     Only two spectators for each youth/adult athlete, cheerleader, pep band member, or organizer staff, unless all spectators are from the same household

     Spectators must wear a mask and maintain 6 feet for social distance from other spectators

     Youth/adult participants can be closer than 6 feet and are not required to wear masks

High School Sports and Extracurriculars (sporting, recreational, and extracurricular events)

     Only two spectators for each high school athlete, performer, competitor, cheerleader, pep band member, or staff member, unless all spectators are from the same household

     Spectators must wear a mask and maintain 6 feet for social distance from other spectators

     Students participating can be closer than 6 feet and are not required to wear masks

Restaurants and Bars (Including a wedding reception venue, winery, brewery, distillery, country club, or other social/fraternal club)

     Masks are required when not seated at a table, booth, or bar

     6 feet social distancing between groups

     Groups limited to eight people unless larger group is all the same household

     Seated when eating or drinking and limit congregating

Fitness Centers (Including health clubs, health spas, and gyms)

     Group fitness activities are allowed if a 6-foot distance is maintained

Casinos and Gaming Facilities

     Masks are required except when seated to eat or drink

Closer/Prolonged Contact Establishments (bowling alleys, pool halls, BINGO halls, arcades, indoor playgrounds, children’s play centers)

     Masks are required when not seated to eat or drink

     Ensure that groups and individuals are 6 feet apart at establishments

     Groups are limited to eight people unless the larger group is all from the same household

Nonessential/Elective Surgeries

     A hospital must reserve at least 10 percent of its intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and 10 percent of its medical/surgery beds for COVID-19 patients.
