Hall wins men's club championship

GOLF

     It’s always close, but the result is usually the same: Dustin Hall is champion of the Men’s Club Tournament at the Monticello Golf Club.

     Monticello’s Hall won the event July 8-9, shooting a two-day total of 140. There were two players finishing a stroke behind with scores of 141: Chance Manternach and Mike Wennekamp. Kevin Goedken shot 142 to finish fourth, and Tim Norton was fifth with 155.

     Hall has now won the tournament four straight years, nine of the past 10, and has 12 club championships overall.
