Heifer Award

On January 14th, the Jones County Cattlemen were pleased to present Samuel Stecklein with the heifer program award, consisting of three Angus Bred Heifers. The Angus Heifers were provided by Kurt Family Farms owners, Jason and Lisa Kurt, of Cascade. Pictured are Jason Kurt (right) and Samuel Stecklein (left). To promote beef production, the Jones County Cattlemen provide three bred heifers to a deserving youth. Qualified applications from young producers looking to start or expand a herd of their own are submitted in October. (Photo submitted)
