MHS students in Nancy Toenjes’ Foods I and II classes volunteered their time and talents to make homemade cookies last week for the Animal Welfare Friends Shelter in Monticello. The treats were purchased at the Cookie Walk & Howliday Bazaar on Dec. 7 in Hiawatha. Getting into the baking spirit are Eli Beitz, Piper Hansen, Colin Jordan, and Luke Lambert. (Photos submitted)
