I can’t vote for the Republican Party
To the Editor,
In response to a recent Letter to the Editor, I did not vote for a single candidate representing the organization known as the Republican Party. If a Republican representative’s name is the only name on the ballot for the office, then I left the ballot blank. I refuse to recognize the organizations known as the Republican Party because on Jan. 6, 2021, a mob of Trump supporters who were stirred up by trump committed an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol while Congress was in joint session. Only a limited number of Republicans in Congress voted to hold Trump accountable and many of them were practically run out of the organizations known as the Republic Party. As a result, I will probably never vote for anyone who represents the Republican Party again.
As far as the right to keep and bear arms, the right for the people to keep and bear arms is for only securing a free state. The Second Amendment does not give anyone the right to keep and bear arms to incite an attack, threaten, harass, or intimidate anyone.
As for the right to be secure from unreasonable searches, you have the right to refuse to be searched, but prior boarding an airplane, if you choose to exercise your right to be searched, both the airline and the TSA have the right, and in most cases, require refusing to permit you to board the aircraft. Passengers and crew members have the right to a safe and secure flight. The recommendation is that if you want to refuse to be searched prior to boarding an aircraft, then stay home. You will be guaranteed you will be refused boarding the aircraft.
I do not appreciate the people who nominated and elected as president who called veterans who honorably served our country in the military losers and suckers. People who are currently serving in the military and veterans make America great. I don’t someone who calls people, especially immigrants who have jobs and are paying taxes, vermin.
Both Republican and Democrat Party platforms STINKS worse than the hog confinements.
On the brighter side, I want to congratulate everyone who was elected as township trustees. Township trustees represent the residents of the unincorporated area of their respective townships.
