      JoAnn Yousse, age 84, died Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Monticello with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor David Raemisch will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Goettsch Funeral Home has taken JoAnn and her family into their care.     Surviving are, four children, Dean (Pat) Yousse, Tanda Foster (Brad Merfeld), Shawn (Kevin) Green, and Dale Joe (Jackie) Yousse; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Bowers and Dorothy Norton and sisters-in-law, Judy and Sharon Harms. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, a son and daughter-in-law, Dan (Joanne) Yousse, her siblings, Berdina Boysen, Louie Harms, Galen Harms and in-laws, Ken Bowers and Bill Norton.

    JoAnn Marie Yousse was born Oct. 27, 1937 at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Henry A. and Minnie Dirks, Harms. She received her education in the rural schools near Monticello. On Jan. 28, 1960, JoAnn Harms and Dale Yousse were united in marriage at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church in rural Monticello. The couple farmed in Hardscrabble near Monticello. JoAnn worked off the farm at White Containers and Polo Plastics. She enjoyed babysitting all her grandchildren, going mushroom hunting and searching for agates on the sandbar and spending time drinking coffee with family and friends.
