Jones Co. employees ‘make a difference’

In 2018, 39 county employees participated in “We Can Make a Difference,” with a total of $2,330 raised. Ten different organizations were awarded funds this year:

• Jones County JETS Transportation, $250
• Jones County Senior Dining, $250

• Youth programming at the Monticello Public Library, $250
• Jones County Family Council “Shop With a Cop,” $250

The “We Can Make a Difference” committee members are randomly selected late each year from all participating departments. The committee decides where the funds will be distributed.
