Jones County Democrats holding 2025 hall of fame dinner this weekend

The Jones County Democrats are hosting the organization’s 2025 hall of fame dinner in Anamosa on Oct. 26. 

     The fundraising event begins at 5 p.m. at the Lawrence Community Center, 600 E Main St., and will cost $25 per person. 

     The event will honor longtime Jones County Democrats leader Gary Hart. The featured speaker is retired lawmaker Pam Jochum, of Dubuque, who served as the minority leader of the Iowa Senate during her tenure. 

     An event announcement states the festivities will begin with a social hour with invited guests. Candidates for office in the 2026 election, including Matt English (Iowa House District 66,) and Christina Bohannan and Travis Terrill (U.S. House of Representatives District 1) are scheduled to appear and speak at the event.
