JREC offers photo art course

     Kirkwood Jones Regional Education Center offers a wood pallet photo transfer art project. Create a unique art piece for your home or for a gift for someone by taking a special photo and transferring in into a wooden pallet.

     Bring a photo printed out on 8 ½ by 11-inch paper with a laser printer. You will use your creativity to add stenciling and embellishments.

     There will be two sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, May 3 and 4 from 6-8 p.m. Tuition is $25, with an additional $10 material fee due to the instructor. Make fairy gardens at JREC

     Bring your creativity, get your hands dirty, and learn the basics on how to create a charming fairy garden for your garden or home.

     Each participant will make a container fairy garden complete with a self-constructed fairy house. This class would be fun for tweens to adults.

     The material fee covers the container, soil, plants, stones, and other materials to make a fairy house. Please bring your own hot glue gun, if you have one. Extra materials will be available for purchase during the class if desired.

     The class will be held on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tuition is $20, with an additional $15 material fee due to the instructor. Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 3, at 5 p.m. Register by calling 319-465-2302 or online at kirkwood.edu/ce. The course ID number  is 88320.
