JRMC receives grant for pediatric ventilator

     UnityPoint Health – Jones Regional Medical Center (JRMC) received a $12,775 grant from Variety – The Children’s Charity to fund the purchase of a pediatric ventilator.

     The purchase of a pediatric ventilator will be for JRMC patients who are critically ill and require respiratory support.

     “Variety offers a great partnership and their funding allows our patient care team to be able to care for the children in our community,” said Sheila Tjaden, JRMC Community Development director. “We are so grateful to offer this life sustaining support to our smallest, and often most fragile patients.”

     Variety – The Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill or living with special needs. Grant funding is provided to programs and initiatives that directly impact the well-being of children.
