Jones Regional Medical Center (JRMC) hosted a special ceremony on Wednesday, June 18, to celebrate its recent designation as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
The event included a banner unveiling at the hospital’s main entrance with team members, Board of Directors, and UnityPoint Health leaders in attendance.
The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals are selected from more than 1,300 hospitals nationwide using the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index, which evaluates rural hospitals based on quality, outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
“We are proud to be ranked among the top 1.5% of critical access hospitals in the country,” said Eric Briesemeister, JRMC President.
“This recognition reflects the hard work of our team, and we are excited for what’s ahead.”
In addition to celebrating this recognition, JRMC continues to invest in its future with ongoing facility enhancements, including a new pharmacy drive-thru and a $5 million expansion project to bring in-house MRI services to the hospital.
