Junior varsity Panthers overwhelm Oelwein

     Bo Kramer rushed for 143 yards, and Jeff Carlson passed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, as the Monticello junior varsity football team scored a 38-6 home victory over Oelwein Friday, Oct. 6.

     Luke Lambert and Kramer scored touchdowns for the Panthers (4-2-1), and Lambert also passed for a score. Tyler Luensman caught four passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and Justin Recker caught a touchdown pass. Also making catches were Reid Barnhart and Kain Luensman.

     Defensively, Ben Oswald had six tackles. Spencer Avery had 4.5 tackles, including a sack; and Tyler Luensman also had 4.5 tackles. Cade Folken made four tackles and had an interception. Kramer recovered an Oelwein fumble.

     The Panthers will play at Dyersville Beckman Oct. 13.
