JV thumps NFV

     Monticello had a pair of 100-yard rushers and 403 total yards, controlling the game throughout in a 43-8 junior varsity football victory over North Fayette Valley Sept. 28 at Dean Nelson Field.

     The Panthers (4-1) gained 322 yards on the ground, led by Bo Kramer, who had 12 carries for 122 yards; and Rylan Cooper, 12 for 114. Caleb Sauser had two rushing touchdowns, while Bo Kramer and Cooper had one apiece.

     Quarterback Luke Lambert completed two of three passes for 76 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Tallman. Kain Luensman also had an 85-yard kickoff return for a score.

     Defensively, Bo Kramer had 8.5 tackles, Caleb Sauser had seven and Cooper had five.

     The Panthers will play at Anamosa Friday, Oct. 5.
