Koobs to celebrate 50th anniversary

      David and Alice (Smith) Koob of Maquoketa will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at Sacred Heart Church in Monticello, Dec. 11, 1971.

      In honor of the occasion their daughters will host a reception Dec. 11, 2021, beginning at 1 p.m. at Pearson Hall, 1212 E. Quarry St., Maquoketa. Everyone that has shared in their lives with love and friendship please join us for a celebration dinner toasting CHEERS to 50 YEARS on this golden anniversary. Come with memories to share.

      They are the parents of Jamie Behnke, Tracy Koob, Rebecca (Kevin) Guinn, Brenda (David) Roddenberry, Tamara Koob.  They have 10 grandchildren. David is retired from years of truck driving, mechanics and local stock car racing Alice remains employed at the local Fareway and Kwikstar.
