Legislative forums on tap in January, February

Jones County Economic Development is hosting two upcoming legislative forums that will give residents a chance to ask questions to their elected officials. 

The first forum will take place beginning at noon on Friday, Jan. 30 in the Monticello City Council Chambers, 220 E. First St. The second forum will take place at noon on Friday, Feb. 28 In the Anamosa Library and Learning center, 600 E. 1st St.

Iowa Rep. Steve Bradley, R-Cascade, and Iowa Sen. Carrie Koelker, R-Dyersville, will attend the January Forum and have been invited to the February event, according to the Jones County Economic Development Director Derek Lumsden. 

Attendees with questions for their legislators will be asked to write their questions down prior to the event, and a moderator will ask them to the legislators.
