LETTER: Faith has feet
To the editor,
As a child of the only living God from scripture, it’s an honor to serve my
Lord and Savior. By believing in the sacrifice of His only son Jesus (John
3:16), His resurrection on the third day (Luke 24:46), then Jesus’ ascension
into Heaven (Luke 24:51), I know I’ll spend eternity in glory with Jesus.
This life is for just a moment (James 4:14) in contrast to eternity. It’s my prayer that all will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, knowing
many will not (Matthew 7:14). I cannot earn my salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9).
While God blesses me to wake up each day, I want to do my part as a disciple
of Jesus (Matthew 28:16-20). I want to plant seeds for God to grow (1
Corinthians 3:6-7). There are ways I know God’s using me to reach people
(Acts 1:8). I pray to be busy about God’s business. It’s not by my doing, but the Holy Spirit in me, guiding me (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Those who have a relationship with Jesus, it’s not work to serve God, it’s an honor. James 2:26 NKJV reads “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith
without works is dead also.”
If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and this was a
conviction to your heart, say this prayer:
God, I know I am a sinner. I want to change. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me and rose from the dead so I can spend eternity with you. My life is yours Lord, show me the way to go from here. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer from your heart, welcome to the body of Christ! The
angels are rejoicing (Luke 15:10)!
