LETTER: ICE shooting of Renee Good demands full local investigation

To the editor,

There has been much unrest and chaos especially in Minneapolis after masked storm troopers armed with military style weapons were deployed there. The storm troopers have assaulted individuals, used forced entry to enter individual homes and arrest U.S. citizens without any judicial warrants who have committed no crimes.

People have every right to peacefully protest the lawlessness and the occupation of the storm troopers also known as ICE.

When someone parks their car on a traveled part of a roadway, the local police should have handled it. Not ICE officials. That should be treated as a parking violation and if the local police were there, they would have asked the driver to move her vehicle and if she would refuse to move her vehicle then the vehicle will be towed. The police would issue her a citation which could result in a fine.

The masked men armed with military style weapons known as ICE, who had no judicial warrant and there were no outstanding warrants against the driver of the vehicle, ordered her to get out of the vehicle. She was in the process of moving her vehicle when the ICE officials decided she was guilty of a parking violation and decided to execute her by using the firing squad without due process because of a parking violation.

Renee Good was executed by the firing squad formed by ICE agents because of a parking violation.

The shooting death of Renee Good deserves a full investigation by state and local authorities, not Trump authorities. Justice needs to be done in that case.
