Lillian Esther Freese Rittmanic Jan. 8, 1926 – Aug. 1, 2018

Lillian Esther Freese Rittmanic

Lillian Esther Freese Rittmanic graduated from this life with honors in Lehi, Utah on the beautiful morning of Aug. 1, 2018.

She was 92 years old.  She was the best listener and was constantly reminding others that they were of great worth and that each person was a child of God with unlimited potential.

She was born Jan. 8, 1926 to John H. Freese and Elizabeth E.  Behrends in Monticello.  She is survived by her brother Loren Freese (Lois) of Monticello, and her children Kathy Ross of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; Teresa Moore (Gary) of Cedar Hills, Utah; Mark Rittmanic (Diane) of Winnetka, Ill.; John Rittmanic (Janae) of Payson, Utah and Matthew Rittmanic (Sandra) of Provo, Utah, and by 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lillian left the farm in Monticello at 21 and headed to Chicago Vogue Art Academy.  While in art school, as a young student, she painted a significant restaurant mural that was 75 feet long. Her talent continued to bless the lives of many and she exited mortality with wet paint on her palette.  She met and married Bud Rittmanic and together they raised five children. Later, she continued her college in Florida and earned a drafting degree and worked for Harris Corporation as a draftsperson on  first-generation fiber optic layouts.

Lillian was born into the Lutheran faith and began attending the Catholic Church, after marriage, while raising her children.  She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Dec. 1, 1973 in Florida.  Generations before and after have been and will be blessed by her courage and beautiful testimony of the Gospel that she lived.

Lillian will always be remembered for building the faith and spirit of all those who had the privilege of knowing her for a moment or a lifetime.

Funeral services were held on Saturday Aug. 4, 2018, followed by a graveside service at East Lawn Cemetery in Provo. In lieu of flowers, donations to her memorial can be sent to M Rittmanic at 1016 Cinnamon Hills Dr., Provo, UT  84606.

We express our deepest  gratitude to all those that loved Lillian and contributed so much  joy to her and our family.
