Limestone Bluffs offers free webinar on community resiliency

With all we’ve been through lately, you’ll want to join us for this free webinar on making your community more resilient.

Limestone Bluffs Resource, Conservation & Development, Inc. (RC&D) is sponsoring “Developing Resilient Communities: The Idea Friendly Method” online on Tuesday, March 9, at 6 p.m.

You don’t have to know all the answers. You just have to be open to new ideas. Today you can put your ideas into action with less overhead, less drag and more meaningful participation by more people. Learn three practical ways the research-backed Idea Friendly method will help you improve the climate for new ideas and position your small town to thrive, no matter what the future brings.

The session is for small business owners, community leaders, local non-profit groups, key volunteers, engaged residents…anyone who would like to encourage those in their community to succeed.

Presenters will be Becky McCray from Oklahoma and Deb Brown from Iowa, co-founders of SaveYour.Town. The duo will be presenting a series of webinars for Limestone Bluffs RC&D this spring and visiting several Eastern Iowa communities in person soon. This will be your first chance to meet and get to know them. McCray also manages the Small Biz Survival Facebook page many may already be familiar with.

There is no need to pre-register, the Zoom meeting link is below, and you can also call in by phone if that’s more convenient. To have the link emailed to you, send a request to Lori Scovel, executive director, Limestone Bluffs RC&D, at lscovel@limestonebluffsrcd.org.

Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson and Jones counties are associated with the Limestone Bluffs RC&D region. This particular project focuses on rural vitality, but the webinar is open to anyone who would like to participate.
