Lions’ blood drive impacted 177 lives

To the Editor, Monticello and neighboring communities,

     The Monticello Lions would like to thank the Monticello and neighboring communities for their support and donating to the Red Cross blood drive on April 5.

     It was a good day of visiting and contributing blood. The units collected will be on their way helping patients in need. A recap of the drive results below show that our communities share a common purpose. we care.

     • Goal: 78

     • Whole blood collected: 56

     • Power reds collected: 18

     • First time donors: 3

     • Total units: 74

     • Potential lives impacted: 177

     The Monticello Lions would also like to thank the Monticello Express, Monticello Rotary Club, and the Monticello Fareway store for their support in making the Red Cross blood drive a success.
