Lions blood drive a success

To the Editor,

     The Monticello Lions Club thanks the Monticello community for their support and dedication in making the Red Cross Blood Drive a success.

   Here is the full recap of the blood drive results:

   • Goal: 57

   • Whole blood collected: 47

   • Power reds collected: 18

   • First-time donors: 2

   • Total units of blood collected: 65

   • Potential lives impacted: 150

   It was a good day!

   We also had five donors who were unable to donate blood. The Lions thank you for your desire to help and we hope you will be able to donate blood in our future blood drives.

   We would also like to thank Fareway Meat and Grocery for supporting us, the Monticello Express, and Monticello businesses and the community for letting us put up advertising in their businesses and yard signs throughout the community.
