Lions Club book sale to benefit middle school library

The Monticello Lions Club is preparing for a new fundraiser in 2022.

Throughout the month of January, the public can drop off donations of used or new books, music CDs, audio books, video games, and DVDs at any of the banks/credit union in Monticello. Collection boxes will be available at each location. The Lions are collecting books for all ages of readers, elementary through high school, and beyond.

Then, on Feb. 11-13, the Lions Club are holding a book sale at the former Regions Bank in Monticello, located at 202 W. First St. The sale will be held in the lobby. Families, children, individuals are welcome to stop by the book sale.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Kim Carlson, with the Monticello Middle School Library.

If you have a large donation of books or if you aren’t able to physically get out to donate, contact a member of the Lions Club or Laura Larabee at 319-465-5006 to make arrangements.
