Lions Club, JRMC offer diabetes awareness education

     The Monticello Lions Club is sponsoring a diabetes awareness education event.

     Our guest educators from Jones Regional Medical Center will present valuable information about diabetes causes, prevention and detection, as well as the nutritional aspects of diabetes prevention and diet control. This education will be interesting for everyone, especially people who have been told by their doctors that they have diabetes or have pre-diabetes symptoms.

     We will meet in the Monticello Berndes Center meeting room on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. The session is expected to last less than 90 minutes depending on how many questions are asked.
