Lynn Starks Jan. 16, 1938 – Oct. 12, 2023

      Lynn Starks, 85, of Lake Delhi, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 at Good Neighbor Home following a brief illness.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church, Delhi. Fr. Gabriel Anderson will officiate at the services. Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, Delhi. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.     She is survived by her son, Rod (Mary Kay) Starks of Delhi; a grandson, Raymond Joel (Zachary) Starks-Taylor; and two brothers, Marvin and Kenney Marsh.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Raymond, in 1984; her husband, Don, in 2006; and siblings, Richard, William, Robert, Paul, Adelia Eilers, Dorothy Janssen and Helen Schneider.

    Lynn Marie Marsh was born Jan. 16, 1938, at Monticello.  She was the daughter of William P. and Helen Boots Marsh. Lynn attended Monticello Community Schools. Donald D. Starks and Lynn Marsh were married June 14, 1955, at the Sacred Heart Rectory in Monticello, Iowa.

    Lynn and Don owned and operated Monty Produce in Monticello. They had made their home at Lake Delhi since 1980.
Lynn loved being a mother but being a grandmother to her grandson Raymond was the best.   She loved to play bridge, go gambling, and watch gameshows. She was a Den Mother for both of her sons, and she grew flowers all around her house inside and out.  She was also an avid Hawkeye Fan.  Her biggest goal always was to make certain that everyone else's needs were met before hers.
