MACC donates to banner project

The Monticello Chamber donated over $3,000 to the Hometown Pride Committee to go toward the purchase of banners for the downtown light poles.      Members of the MACC (Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce), Inc. Board of Directors were on hand as a check was presented to the Hometown Pride/Main Street Monticello Committee to jump-start their Banner Project.

     MACC Board President Chris Brokaw presented the check for $3,780. These funds will allow the committee to move forward quickly with the project, with the goal of having it completed by June 1, if not before. It is hoped that approximately 100 banners in the community can be replaced to draw attention to a business or organization and show pride in the community.
