MACC, Fareway offer gift cards to small businesses

     The Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MACC) is hoping to partner with Fareway Stores, Inc. once again as they distribute Fareway gift cards to businesses and organizations in Iowa communities. This is part of a $200,000 donation to help small businesses by the Boone-based grocery store chain.

     The gift cards were given to the Iowa Association of Chambers of Commerce to be distributed. MACC Director Jan Hoag has applied for the donation and is hopeful that they will receive gift cards to be distributed before the holidays.

     “As we continue our focus on MACC’s #ShopSmall #ShopLocal campaigns, our board of directors recognizes the 
many unknowns, challenges, and potential financial hardships for small businesses/organizations this year,” stated Hoag. “Therefore, we look for ways that we can provide assistance.”
