Magistrate Court

Michael Patrick McGrath, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined $40 plus court costs. 

Cliff Renzelo Sills, Jr., Olin, pleaded guilty to two counts of speeding. He was fined a total of $200 plus court costs. 

Sarah Beth McMurran, Anamosa, was found guilty of driving while license denied/ suspended/cancel l ed/ revoked. She was fined $250 plus court costs. 

Charles Leroy Fellers, Monticello, pleaded guilty to driving while license denied/ suspended/cancel l ed/ revoked. She was fined $250 plus court costs. 

Brian Charles McNeal, Olin, pleaded guilty to domestic abuse assault 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $65 plus court costs. 

Matthew John Peterson, Anamosa, was charged with contempt-violation of no-contact order. A bench trial is set for Feb. 12. 

Mathew Kenneth Koob, Anamosa, was charged with obstruction of emergency communications and 5th degree criminal mischief. No court date was set. 

Thomas Arthur Coyle, Springville, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. No court date was set. 

Quinton Aundra Rost, Anamosa, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. No court date was set. 

Kyle Brandon Orcutt, Anamosa, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. No court date was set. 

Brenden Richard Travis Ricketts, Onslow, was found guilty of violating the Social Host Ordinance. He was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $100 plus court costs. 

Michael R. Williams, Center Junction, was found guilty of violating the Jones County nuisance ordinance. He was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $500 plus court costs. The civil penalty will be suspended, pending nuisance abatement. 

Jerrid Michael Boge, Monticello, was found guilty of violating the City of Monticello Municipal Code. He was assessed a civil penalty of $750 plus court costs.
