Magistrate Court

     Chynybek Artykbaev, Philadelphia, Pa., pleaded guilty to failure to comply with safety regulations. She was fined $50 plus court costs.

     Shantel C. Hibbler, Beloit, Wis., pleaded guilty to speeding and failure to use child restraint device. She was fined $190 plus court costs.

     Nicholas L. McGovern, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to driving while license under suspension. He was fined $250 plus court costs.

     James Albert Hougas, Camanche, pleaded guilty to violation of no-contact/protective order. He was sentenced to two days in jail.

     David Michael Waite, Spragueville, was charged with interference with official acts. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 6.

     Dakota James Carpenter, Monticello, was charged with assault and two counts of interference with official acts. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 6.

     Elizabeth Ann Carpenter, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to assault. A non-jury trial is set for Sept. 27.

     Alicia Renee Smith, Monticello, was charged with disorderly conduct-fighting/violent behavior. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 6.

     Cory John Petersen, Anamosa, was charged with obstruction of emergency communications. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 28.

     Kyle Brandon Orcutt, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. A non-jury trial is set for Sept. 27.

     Keegan T. Hebert, Clarence, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 6.

     Joseph Jay Kripner, Monticello, was arrested for domestic abuse assault 1st offense. No court date was set.

     Candi Marie Giellis, Anamosa, was pleaded not guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. A non-jury trial is set for Oct. 18.

     Audrey Lynn Sheehy, address not available, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 13.

     Keith Kouba, Marion, had a civil citation from the City of Anamosa alleging junk, weeds, and grass on property, dismissed.

     Jerrid Michael Boge, Monticello, was cited for storing scrap metal, unlicensed trailer, and unlicensed pickup on property. A court date was set for Sept. 6.

     Jenny Lynn O’Hara, Monmouth, had a charge of no insurance, dismissed.

     Jeffrey Allen Borga, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to no driver’s license. He was fined $250 plus court costs.

     Jacob Cyrus Lewis Shoaff, Onslow, pleaded guilty to no insurance. He was fined $250 plus court costs.

     Arnella L. Comstock, Oxford Junction, pleaded guilty to speeding. She was fined $80 plus court costs.

     Jeffrey Allen Mull, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to interference with official acts. A non-jury trial is set for Oct. 18.

     Thomas Allen Farris, Jr., Monticello, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 13.

     Ranelle Ann Schroeder, Olin, was charged with domestic abuse assault. A bench trial is set for Sept. 27.

     Nicholas Andrew Gallichant, Bayport, Minn., was charged with disorderly conduct-loud/raucous noise. A court date is set for Aug. 29.

     Chad Louis Drumbarger, Anamosa, was cited for allowing dog to run at large. A court date is set for Aug. 30.

     Barb Sue Lint, Anamosa, was found in violation of the City of Anamosa’s Ordinance regarding offensive odor of cat urine/feces emitting from residence. She was assessed a civil penalty of $750 plus court costs. The penalty was suspended and she was ordered to abate the nuisance by April 23, 2018.
