Magistrate Court

     Beau Alan Ehrisman, Monticello, pleaded guilty to defective/unauthorized muffler system. He was fined $20 plus court costs.

     John Daniel Baker, Cedar Rapids, was found guilty to public intoxication. He was fined $200 plus court costs. Judgment was deferred on a count of interference with official acts. Baker was fined a civil penalty of $100 plus court costs, and placed on probation for one year.

     Dontel Lamont Dixon, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to simple assault and obstruction of emergency communications. He was fined a total of $130 plus court costs, and sentenced to 30 days in jail on each count. His sentences are to run concurrently, with 25 days suspended. Dixon was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Derek A. Kolakowski, Maywood, Ill., pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to two days in jail and fined court costs.

     Charles Vern Houston, Jr., Monticello, pleaded guilty to interference with official acts. He was fined $250 plus court costs. Houston also had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed.

     Christina Jennifer Knepper, Cascade, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault 1st offense. A non-jury trial is set for Feb. 15.

     Isaac Kurry Reid Williams, Olin, was arrested for interference with official acts. No court date is set.
