McDonald recognized as HR Professional of the Year

     Deann McDonald, executive vice president Human Relations for F&M Bank, was recently named TrueNorth’s QRP 2016 Human Resources Professional of the Year. The award serves to formally recognize HR professionals and thank them for their valued partnership with TrueNorth Companies.

     Tim German, president of F&M Bank sees McDonald’s valuable commitment first-hand. “Deann’s dedication to our team members is what makes her such a respected and appreciated asset. She focuses her time and efforts working tirelessly to develop an ‘anything is possible’ attitude and positive work environment. Deann has the ability to recognize a team member’s strengths and potential and will do whatever she can to help our team grow and prosper, both individually and as a whole.”

     McDonald has been a part of the F&M team since 2010. She has extensive experience in all areas of personnel, training and team development. Tirzah Wedewer, F&M Bank senior vice president & CFO, states, “Deann is a positive role model and highly respected member of our team. She is a motivational influence that inspires our team to focus on their strengths and aids in their personal and professional development.”

     While her office is primarily based out of the Manchester location, McDonald spends considerable time at the other F&M Bank locations in Iowa and Minnesota and at Security Savings Bank in Eagle Grove, Goldfield & Clarion.

     Awarding McDonald with the honorable plaque was TrueNorth’s Scott Griffin, qualified plan specialist in Retirement Planning. “We are truly blessed to work with many excellent human resources professionals, which makes selecting the award recipients rather difficult,” said TrueNorth’s Scott “Griff” Griffin, “but sometimes, a person’s true commitment to their colleagues allows them to naturally rise above and stand out among the rest. This was the case with Deann.”
