Andy McKean is officially a candidate for State Representative in Iowa House District 66.
McKean filed his nomination papers on March 14 at the Secretary of State's office in Des Moines.
Thanks to the good weather in February and March, McKean was able to gather 581 signatures from all around the district and said he enjoyed a lot of great conversations in the process.
"Jones and Jackson counties are full of wonderful people and I hope to have the opportunity to represent them in the Iowa House come January," McKean commented.
District 66 includes all of Jones County and most of Jackson County.
McKean's opponent in the November election will be Steve Bradley.
