McKean put party before people

To the Editor,

   I’ve noticed the motto on the Andy McKean political yard signs reads: “PEOPLE BEFORE PARRTY.”

   As I recall, the last voted to elect Mr. McKean were Republicans in 2018. During his term, rather than resign and force an election where he could run as a Democrat, he “flipped” parties, betraying the voters, and finished his term working against the ideals of the very people who elected him. He was defeated in 2020.

   Perhaps Mr. McKean’s motto this time should be: “PARTY BEFORE PEOPLE!”

   Please, whatever you do, vote your conscience…but vote.
