Meets, records spell success for middle school teams

     Prior to their involvement in the River Valley Conference Meet, the Monticello Middle School boys track and field teams participated in three meets earlier this spring.

     Included was the Monticello Invitational in which both the seventh-grade and eighth-grade teams won championships. Results of that, and the Cascade and Maquoketa Valley meets, follow.

     Also, two conference records broken in the River Valley Conference Meet were not published with the results that appeared in the Express May 15. They were as follows:

     • Preston Ries, seventh-grade 800-meter run, first place, conference record of 2:22.19.

     • Seventh-grade distance medley relay of Easton Prull, Connor Jordan, Ty Tallman and Preston Ries; first place, conference record of 4:23.26.
